Python Backend Engineer

We’re looking for a sharp Python Engineer to design, scale, and optimize our core backend services. If you love wrangling complex data pipelines, fine-tuning Celery queues, and building robust cloud architecture on AWS, we have a seat at the table for you.

Core Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial Python development experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one modern Python framework (Django, FastAPI, Flask, or similar).
- Strong proficiency in Celery for implementing asynchronous and background task processing.
- Experience building web scraping and data collection solutions using Selenium, Playwright, Scrapy, or equivalent tools.
- Practical experience with relational databases in production environments (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Solid understanding of database design, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Experience with AWS services (ECS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, Lambda, etc.).
- Proficiency with Git and a solid understanding of modern collaborative development workflows.

Bonus
- Experience with Amazon Redshift or other data warehousing solutions.
- Background in integrating payment gateways and shipping/logistics services.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Previous experience on projects with a React.js frontend.
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and system performance optimization principles.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python-based backend services and APIs.
- Build and support scalable solutions for web scraping and data processing.
- Develop and optimize background workers and task queues using Celery.
- Design and maintain robust database architectures and data processing pipelines.
- Integrate third-party services, including payment systems and logistics platforms.
- Improve system performance, stability, and scalability.
